I have moved onto painting the dismounted model and rider. I have also decided to do these a little different than I was previously doing. I took a few more pictures along the way and I will explain what I was working on. You will see more pictures and more explanation of what I was doing along the way. You can find the finished bike here.
As promised I’ve got my next episode of painted miniatures live featuring the Domaru Butai that I just finished. It was an awesome project working on these guys and they are finally finished. I was working on five of them at the same time. I purchased the Domaru Butai box and I also painted the old sculpt that comes with the starter pack for the JSA. I love how they turned out. Check out the Domaru family in the following video.
I made some drastic changes. I think I like them, but I’m not sold yet. After a conversation with George from Fate and Fury Games I decided to make their helmets stand out a bit more by doing the rising sun theme. I think it looks good, but I’m not really confident. Let me know what you think. Be sure to check out my rewards page over on Patreon.
I’ve made a bit more progress on Yojimbo. I painted the tires the first coat of black and I did some more coats of red on metal by the back tire. I also added various highlights to the model as I painted.
I want to put in a plug for my Patreon Page. I’ve got a couple of reward tiers available, but only a few people have signed up to receive them. I am sending out two miniatures a month to my patreons chosen at random. The first tier for a $1 you will be entered into a drawing for a single Infinity the Game miniature of your choosing. The $8 tier enters you into a raffle for a box of miniatures of your choosing (excluding army boxes I will add a reward tier for those in the near future).
This was a busy week for me. I had a game on Thursday a tournament on Saturday and yet somehow I managed to get a little painting in on a few of my miniatures. The slideshow below shows my current progress on the Domaru Butai. The changes I made were the first coat of Red on a few spots and I did some white highlights on the tips of the helmet and shoulder and knee pads in a few spots.
Comm Center is a fun game type that focuses on capturing points, but rewards killing specialists more than taking objectives. I played against my old faction Hassassin Bahram. They forever hold a special place in my heart. It was interesting playing against them as a different faction myself. We played the mission Comm Center. The objective is to both hold more objectives than your opponent and also kill more specialists.
Futuristic Samurai and Ninjas are so cool. The reason I chose the Japanese Sectorial Army as my thirst army was purely and aesthetic one. Now that I’ve gotten some of the line troops painted I wanted to move onto a few of the troops that look really good. Yojimbo looks awesome. I am excited to paint him. It will be a long process to get through his bike his standing miniature and his seated one, but It will look very cool when its all done. Click read more to see my current progress on him.
