If you haven’t noticed it’s been a while since I’ve posted regularly. Life unfortunately can get busy. Who ever thought that adulting could be so difficult. As children we often assume that when we grow up we can do what we want when we want and no one can tell us otherwise. We quickly learn that the only time in our life that this is the case is in college.
I have moved onto painting the dismounted model and rider. I have also decided to do these a little different than I was previously doing. I took a few more pictures along the way and I will explain what I was working on. You will see more pictures and more explanation of what I was doing along the way. You can find the finished bike here.
Over the weekend I received a package of terrain from Battle Kiwi. They are a company based out of New Zealand. I purchased the terrain because I really like how it looks, but I was hesitant because of the distance from the US. I received my package about 10 days later. That’s faster than I’ve received packages from Warsenal and they are US based. Granted they ship from across the country from me though. Click to read more of my first impressions.
I posted on my Facebook page yesterday that I’m currently editing my first video Battle Report. It should be finished today or tomorrow. It was a good match and my first win with the JSA. There were a few recent changes to the site. I added a videos tab a Patreon tab and a Fate and Fury link.
I also want to put a plug in for my patreon page here. I’ve got a few different reward tiers created. The reason I’m asking for money on that is so I can outsource the editing and get back to the other half of the hobby (painting). It’s very time consuming to edit videos and I haven’t done any painting this week because I’ve been focused on editing.
$1 tier enters you to a raffle for a single miniature of your choosing and the $8 tier enters you to win a box of miniatures of your choosing all from the corvus belli infinity the game line.
Please check it out and watch for my first battle report in the next day or so.
I am just about done with these little guys. This time around I was adding some highlights of various colors and attempting to make them pop just a bit more. I should be able to finish them this weekend. At least that is the intention.
Yojimbo has been a fun project so far. I have been using a very similar color scheme to the Domaru Butai with a few small exceptions. The progress I made on him this time was adding some layers of highlights to the bike and I did a white highlight on all the sharp corners. It’s coming along nicely.
