After a brief hiatus I’m back. A few months back I picked up enough Ariadna miniatures to fill a small suitcase from my pal Joe at Fate and Fury Games. Always support your local shop first. This brings my army count up to four, Haqqislam, Nomads, Yu Jing and now Ariadna. I may have a problem. I think it would be easier to hold myself back if Corvus Belli would stop making their miniatures so purchasable.
On this week’s troop review I go over the 3rd Highlander Greys. A solid trooper from the Ariadna Starter pack who will definitely find his way into many Caledonia lists, but his shortcomings may cause him to be skipped often in vanilla lists.
I played my game against Cody. It did not go well for me, but I am attempting to play JSA the same way I would with my Haqqislam Bahram and it just doesn’t seem to be working. As always the game is a blast to play and I learn so much with each game. My advice for anyone loosing as horribly as I just lost this match is to be a good sport and think about the changes that you could have made that could potentially have turned the tide of battle. Unfortunately for me my first mistake was a poorly constructed list.
The Oniwaban sped down the ladder wary of William Wallace watching from atop the building across the street. With no reactions from any adversary he was able to speed across the street towards the beacon in the middle of the road in the enemy deployment zone. At his next step Wallace discovered the Oniwaban. Finally revealed the Oniwaban decided to shoot his boarding shotgun. Wallace distracted by his attempts to discover the hidden trooper was caught by surprise. Continue reading
