Infinity Skills: The Order Phase

This week’s episode of Infinity Skills and Equipment covers the order phase. It is a pretty basic video, but it’s very important. I also throw in some advice for veteran players on how to organize orders so you do not loose track of how many you’ve spent.

It has been a while since I last posted a troop review. Life has been pretty busy, but I am back at it and should be able to continue posting these regularly.

Adeptus Mechanicus Assembly

I spent my weekend building my newly aquired Adeptus Mechanicus troops. I purchased the start collecting Skitarii collection and I added in a detachment of Kataphrom Destroyers. Doing the math on what I own I have a grand total of 31 power. That is not very much. I will need quite a few more troops and things to bulk up my army and actually play.

The color scheme is still up in the air. I’m thinking of doing a royal purple color for all of their robes. Purple will most likely be the accent color for their armor, but we’ll see. I also need to base them all, but that doesn’t take very long to get done. The only one I built not pictured is the Onegar Dunecrawler.

Coming from Infinity the Game where an army consists of between 10-16 troops assembling this many guys made me feel like I’m falling very far behind on my painting, but it’s just a difference in game types. Warhammer 40k is an army building game and Infinity the game is a skirmish game.

To my fans that play Infinity, don’t worry I’m still playing infinity regularly as my main game, but I want to get back into 40k.

Battle Kiwi The Club

This week I am reviewing The Club made by Battle Kiwi. A New Zealand terrain and accessories company. The piece can be purchased over here. It has been a few weeks since I’ve done any terrain reviews and that is because I was waiting for the Holo Billboard to come out which I will review next week.

Be careful while using this building Impetuous troops have been known to unexpectedly break out in song and dance.

Neko Oyama Painting Part 5

I’ve been doing a bit of work on Neko Oyama lately. I forgot to take a before picture when I just had him primed, but I will go over the steps I’ve done so far. Before this point I did a base coat of the blue and added a few highlight and lowlight shades and a wash to make the angles and ridges stand out. I then added white on all the ridges to make them stand out.

Warhammer 40k 8th Edition

It has been a very long times since I’ve played Warhammer. Over 15 years in fact. I have long since sold my beloved Space Wolf Army and distanced myself from the game. With the advent of the new rule set I have decided to once again play Warhammer 40k. I spent an afternoon reading lore and deciding who I wanted to play and how and I finally decided that the Adeptus Mechanicus is for me. A big factor on my decision to go with these guys was their aesthetics. I really like how the whole faction looks. They look like they should be the steam punk Chaos Space Marine offshoot, but they’re good.
