This week I am reviewing The Club made by Battle Kiwi. A New Zealand terrain and accessories company. The piece can be purchased over here. It has been a few weeks since I’ve done any terrain reviews and that is because I was waiting for the Holo Billboard to come out which I will review next week.
Be careful while using this building Impetuous troops have been known to unexpectedly break out in song and dance.
This is my favorite building in the whole catalog by a long shot. I am really happy with and love the Comm Tower, but that once comes in at a close second place. This building looks gorgeous. It comes with two strobe lights as well. They set the mood for this building and add so much personality.
The building is L shaped and takes up a large amount of space which is good. It blocks lots of fire lanes and has plenty of cover options available to it. The doors swing nicely and are a clear acrylic. Most of the other doors in the the Alpha City line are colored, but with the red acrylic walls I think a clear door was a good choice.
From the pictures of the building I assumed it was much smaller than it actually is. It measures in at 12″ by 9″. Although it clearly states that on the website I just assumed it was smaller from the pictures. It is longer and wider than the Objective room and takes up a good portion of the table. Building this one was very easy compared to some of the other terrain pieces I’ve put together.
The stairs and generator on the top of the building are removable. You can use the stairs outside the building or as a ramp to get on top of any of the other buildings in the Alpha City set. It is a great addition to the table. The same goes for the Teriyaki display sign it can be removed and stuck on any other building as desired.
Buy this. Let me articulate that better. If you don’t own this piece then please do yourself and your friends a favor and get it. The thing I love the most about this building is there really isn’t anything quite like it. Many of the other SciFi buildings out there are just that buildings. The Alpha City has life and feels like a place where people live. Yeah it may be upscale, but that’s just another unexplored setting of this game.
