Antennas Field: Pre Game

In the league I play at fate and fury games we are doing 150 points this month. As I previously mentioned I felt it was a great opportunity to try out a new faction namely the JSA. For this scenario I feel I’ll need four specialists. This scenario has points for holding objective each game round so it will be important to grab objectives fast and hold them throughout the game.

Here is a layout of what the table with look like as far as objective placement goes. I do not feel like pushing for the back objective is worth it with so few army points to play with so I will focus on the middle three and the one in my deployment zone. Antenna Field.jpg

Japanese Sectorial Army

6 / 1 / 1
NINJA Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Tactical Bow / Pistol, DA CCW, Knife. (0 | 29)
NINJA Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Tactical Bow / Pistol, DA CCW, Knife. (0 | 29)
YURIKO ODA Combi Rifle, Panzerfaust, D-Charges, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, CCW. (0 | 24)
KEISOTSU MULTI Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 17)
KEISOTSU Lieutenant Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 9)
YOJIMBO Contender, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades, CrazyKoalas (2) / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 21)
WÈIBĪNG Yaókòng Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 16)

2.5 SWC | 145 Points

I will place the ninjas on either side of the table directly towards the outside objectives. One side will be flanked by the fireteam and the other by Yojimbo.  The multiterrain skill that the ninjas have will come in handy here allowing them to move freely in and out of the exclusion zone. I will place them as tokens to begin since the game will have limited orders with so few troops.

I plan to use Yuriko oda’s minelayer skill to drop a mine starting out the game in a position to defend the objective in my base. The WÈIBĪNG Yaókòng  will grab the first objective and be placed in a suppressive fire mode sitting on the objective. Once there I’ll just leave him in said position.

Yuriko and the Keisotsu will push towards the middle. I will most likely break the link and place the HMG in a suppressive fire mode covering the middle and I’ll follow that up by placing Yuriko on the middle objective.

The major difference between this game type and others is that it does not require players to spend an order to capture antennas. Simply standing in base to base contact counts as controlled so long as the trooper is a specialist. I’ll follow up soon with how my game goes.
